How We Get Our Data
workshop.broker is a free directory of U.S. auto repair, body, tire, welding, fabrication and machine shops, with tools and guides for checking a repair quote. It is published by Cute and Honey LLC, Houston, Texas. We are not a repair shop or a booking service.
How We Are Different
- No pay-to-rank. Every listing is free and shown in the same way. Businesses cannot buy a higher position or a badge.
- No sold leads. We do not ask for your phone number or email, and we never sell contact details. You contact shops directly.
- No invented reviews, ratings or counts. We only show facts from public data, with the source and date.
- Free tools without sign-up. The calculators, checklist and quote comparison run in your browser.
The site is supported by display advertising, which is clearly labeled and separate from the listings.
Where the Listings Come From
- Businesses: OpenStreetMap (© OpenStreetMap contributors, Open Database License). We include U.S. places tagged as car repair, tires, truck repair, motorcycle repair, vehicle inspection, metal construction, welder, machinist and blacksmith, plus businesses whose names clearly name one of these trades. Supply stores, schools and unrelated names are filtered out. We list 52,978 businesses (43,557 auto repair, 435 welding, 1,490 fabrication) from the copy downloaded on November 6, 2026.
- Shop types come from map tags and the business name, so a shop may offer more than we show.
- Certifications, insurance and reviews are not in this data, so we do not show them. Ask each shop directly.
- City names come from the address on the map or, if missing, the nearest U.S. Census Bureau 2024 Gazetteer place.
- Opening hours, phone and website are shown exactly as on the map. Always confirm before you go.
- Which pages exist: shops with at least two details (such as phone and address) get a full page. Others appear on their city page with a link to the map.
Costs and Labor Rates
Price ranges on this site are our own planning assumptions, labeled as such. They are not quotes and not survey averages, and published averages disagree. Consumer rights information draws on the U.S. Federal Trade Commission and state agencies, and rules vary by state. It is general information, not legal advice.
Refresh Schedule
We refresh listings from OpenStreetMap about every three months. The date of the current copy is shown at the bottom of every page.
